Gavi DOCG
Cortese in purity. Floral, citrus, saline.

A small family estate in the hills of Gavi — a natural amphitheatre of vines on white marl soils, where the Cortese grape finds its purest voice.
Since 1988, the Righetti family has tended these hills above Gavi — a natural amphitheatre of vines set on the white marl soils of Pratolungo, 370 metres above sea level.
Our land is clay marl of marine origin: millions of years ago this was the seabed, and that mineral memory is still alive in the wines today. The marino breezes rising from the Mediterranean cool the vineyards and keep the aromas taut and defined.
We work with patience and respect, the way it has always been done here: a few hectares, careful attention to every row, and a tasting room where we welcome those who want to know our Gavi in the place where it is born.

The Gavi DOCG is the purest expression of the Cortese grape, an ancient varietal grown on the white marl soils of Pratolungo, in the commune of Gavi.
Grapes pressed softly, skins separated at once. The free-run must ferments at a controlled 17°C for around eighteen days, then rests on its fine lees to build structure and depth. Everything in stainless steel — so that nothing is added to what the land has already given.
In the glass it is pale straw with green reflections. The nose is delicate: white flowers, citrus, yellow-fleshed fruit, a hint of fresh almond. On the palate it is harmonious and balanced, with a long, fresh, gently saline finish — the mineral signature of our soil.
Cortese in purity. Floral, citrus, saline.
The everyday white. Bright, clean, drinkable.
A selection from the oldest rows. Structured, slow.
Summer in the glass. Wild strawberry, herbs.
Bright acidity, dark cherry, the warmth of Piemonte.
Soft, fruit-forward, made for the table.

The white earth of Pratolungo is not a metaphor — it's the colour of the soil itself. Pale clay marls, laid down by an ancient sea, give our Cortese its tension, its salinity, the long mineral finish that makes a Gavi a Gavi.
At 370 metres, the vineyards catch the marino — the breeze that crosses the Apennines from the Ligurian sea. Cool nights, gentle days. Slow ripening. Wines that keep their freshness even in the warmest vintages.

Our tasting room welcomes small groups in a relaxed, refined setting — surrounded by the natural amphitheatre of our vines. By appointment.
